Business Developement Lead - Māori Partnerships
About The Role
This role will lead and support business development with existing and new Māori businesses, through strong relationship building and collaboration.
In this role you would:
- Build and enhance the profile of Primary ITO and providing the strategic direction for our engagement with Māori
- Help the business to deliver sound outcomes for Māori learners
- Recommend, develop and implement the training solutions for our customers, based on understanding their business training needs.
- Facilitate discussions and planning of annual business plans
Location
This permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week Monday to Friday) has a flexible location based within Aotearoa.

Skills & Experience
- Experience leading business development, customer growth and strategic relationship management initiatives
- Experience in the education sector and/or vocational learning environments with a strong, credible reputation that is trusted and results focussed.
- Experience partnering with Māori businesses and/or commercial environments
- Excellent communication, both written and verbally.
- Knowledge of and experience with te reo Māori me ona tikanga
- Understanding of the Agriculture and Horticulture sectors would be beneficial.

Primary ITO, a business division under the new Food & Fibre Industry Skills Board, is dedicated to providing training and qualifications to over 30 primary industries.
We work with employers and others in our industry to identify, manage and promote training opportunities and to make sure our qualifications are up-to-date and deliver the skills the industry needs.
