About The Role

Collaborate with learners and workplaces to identify and promote training opportunities and grow capability within the agriculture industry.

In this role you would: 

  • Be a people-focused person with a passion for building strong working connections in the agriculture sector.
  • Work alongside learners and employers to identify training needs and assist with developing training plans to support learner progression.
  • Enrol learners and support them to complete successfully
  • Conduct learner and workplace visits
  • Proactively market Primary ITO to prospective employers and learners.

This permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week Monday to Friday) has a flexible based within the wider Canterbury region for the right candidate. This role would also require regional travel when appropriate, in which a company vehicle, laptop and mobile phone will be provided.

Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge/experience in the agriculture sector.
  • Experience in customer focused role
  • Sales training experience
  • Computer literacy and proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent time management, planning, and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication, both written and verbally, and relationship building skills

 

Understanding of work-based learning would be beneficial.

Primary ITO, a business division under the new Food & Fibre Industry Skills Board, is New Zealand’s largest industry training organisation and only organisation in New Zealand dedicated to providing training and qualifications to over 30 primary industries. 

We work with employers and others in our industry to identify, manage and promote training opportunities and to make sure our qualifications are up-to-date and deliver the skills the industry needs.
